Job DescriptionThe goal of Rubber Product and Process Development is laying the foundation of innovation for the Business Area - Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) to be the leader for highly developed, intelligent and sustainable rubber products for the automotive industry as the best solutions for each of our customers in each of our markets. Task of the Development Engineer Rubber is the development of new technologies with special focus on rubber products and processes. This goal is achieved by an effective execution and management of R&D projects.
Your tasks will focus on the following activities:
Leading projects for the development of new product technologies and processes to ensure selective technology leadership of OESL in the field of hoses (fuel, oil, DPF/GPF,...)Managing the internal interface within defined R&D process to peer R&D departments to ensure internal and external process and quality requirementsReviewing developments internal and external with respect to technical content and intellectual propertyFollowing market trends, exhibitions, fairs to technical developmentDriving conceptional ideas to patents and/or unique selling pointsEnsuring a robust network within the responsible functional area across all technical departments within R&D and all segment with a transparent, effective and efficient knowledge transfer and communicationConstant progression of our specifications in design and manufacturing to improve the product-usage for our application engineers to internal and external customersInnovating and/or creating solutions to support our corporate sustainability strategy QualificationsAcademic degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, automotive engineering, chemistry or materials scienceSeveral years of professional experience in the area of process engineering/process or product development in the field of rubber productsExperience in automotive industryKnowledge in production technologies e. g. extrusion, calandering, vulcanisation, injection moulding etc.Experience in development project work and application of according toolsExperience in arrangement and documentation of target driven meetingsPassion for Rubber ProductsFluent English language skills (written and spoken) Experience and respect in contact with other culturesIndependent working style, good communication skills, ability to work in a team and a confident mannerWillingness to travel (approx. 10-20%)Additional InformationThe well-being of our employees is important to us.
