Role Outline
As our Development Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for the fundamental operations of our Innovation Hub and presentation area.
You will be collaborating closely with local key functions, primarily R&D (Research & Development) and FSQA (Food Safety Quality Assurance) to facilitate department activities.
The responsibility of the role encompasses kitchen maintenance and hygiene, scheduling, coordinating and assisting product development and product assessments, inbound and outbound product sample management, and supporting internal and external food presentations.
Key Accountabilities
Hygiene and HACCP, to include cleanliness of kitchen equipment and adhering to legislationCoordinating service and maintenance of Innovation Hub equipmentAssist Senior Development Chef and R&D Technologists with concept and development recipes and samples preparationEnsure ingredients are in-stock and equipment available for Senior Development Chef and R&D TechnologistsProduct compliance/cooking validation testing.Management and Record-Keeping for all inbound, outbound import and export samples, from requests, through stock control packing and labelling to coordinating deliveryPrepare, cook and present portfolio products for review with Sales, Marketing and FSQA TeamsSchedule kitchen and presentation room diary for internal and external meetingsManagement of kitchen consumables inventory and orderingSupport the Commercial and Marketing functions coordinating internal workshops, industry events and product showcases.Continuous development of systems within the Kitchen to improve hygiene and efficiencySkills and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the same roleProven track-record in Commercial Kitchen or Development Kitchen ManagementFood Hygiene QualificationGood numeracy skills and IT literacySuperb organisational skillsPro-active work-ethic with good time-management and adaptability to taskDriven to improve working methodologies and embracing technologyStrong communication skills and professionalismTravel 20%: We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment with a travel requirement to support events in UK and EU.Not eligible for relocationNot eligible for sponsorshipBenefits for UK positions:
