What you’ll do
 

SAP Sustainability Engineering is seeking a highly motivated hands-on Development Manager (f/m/d) to drive the development of our Sustainability solutions in the context of SAP Sustainability and SAP Cloud ERP.

 

As Development Manager (f/m/d) for SAP Sustainability - Sustainable Products and Operations you will lead a highly performing Engineering team, provide technical leadership, and ensure the delivery and development operation of our high-quality Sustainability solutions.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities:

You will define and execute the team's roadmap, prioritize tasks, and manage people to ensure successful project completion. You are acting as coach and mentor, e.g. by conducting deliverable reviews and providing performance feedback, and drive personal development. You will be accountable to resolve technical dependencies, comply to product standards, ensure high quality and sufficient (automated) testing, smooth delivery, etc. You will collaborate closely with (chief) architects to ensure cross SAP CTO direction such as technology, compliance, data integration, and security are considered during development and part of the backlog where applicable. You will partner with Product Management and User Experience to translate the overall outcome-based roadmap and vision into a product backlog and prioritization in a manner clearly understandable to the development team. You perform at least 30% hands-on technical tasks and responsibilities in addition to team management. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, project, and people management skills.

 

What you bring

 

University degree in Computer Science (or related subject). Strong knowledge of SAP technologies, including SAP ERP, SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, and SAP S/4HANA. Sound understanding of business processes supported by SAP Sustainability, S/4HANA and other SAP products. Deep insights in S/4 HANA Public Cloud / Private Cloud technology stack to drive cloud qualities like metering/usage, performance, security and interoperabily. Innovative mindset. Experience with cloud native development aspects. Solid understanding of software development methodologies. Excellent analytical and communication skills (German/English, spoken and written). +5 years of professional experience.


Preferred skills:

Hands-on experience implementing Product Compliance solution Personal motivation to address the climate emergency situation and corresponding sense of urgency.
