What you will do
As a leader of this development organization, your key responsibilities include:
Lead a team of talented engineers in designing and implementing functionalities of SAP Commerce Cloud. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Drive best practices in software development, architecture, design patterns, and coding standards. Take care of people management in all its aspects (hiring, performance and talent management including goal setting, motivation, coaching and development of individuals and teams, plan and manage skill development, etc.). Ensure on time and high-quality delivery of committed roadmap requirements. Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools to enhance product development and efficiency. Communicate technical concepts and project updates effectively to stakeholders and executive leadership. Manage and execute against delivery commitments and adoption of automation, quality, and continuous delivery.
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field, with 10+ years of experience in a product development company, and 3+ years in a leadership role (such as a People Manager) or in a leading role in agile software development (Architect, Scrum Master, Product Owner) Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience in leading, managing, and empowering technical teams, so that the team can deliver independently, quickly and iteratively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to converse with stakeholders and end-users about their problems and challenges instead of just accepting a basic list of requirements / asks. Proficiency in English along with excellent presentation skills are mandatory. Practical experience in software development, Agile methodologies and DevOps are required. Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments is a big advantage Knowledge on Spring Boot OR Kubernates/Docker is a plus. It is beneficial if you possess a broad network within SAP, particularly connections to the Business Technology Platform (BTP).
