Meet your team
The Sustainability Growth Unit delivers solutions to help customers running their business in a sustainable way. To increase the engineering capacity for one of the key Sustainability applications, an ESG Reporting Tool called Sustainability Control Tower, we are hiring for a new team in Vietnam. To lead this new team, we are looking for a motivated manager with strong technical background.  

 

What you’ll do

You will be responsible for your development team’s success. You will manage a high performing, agile engineering team by supporting the team members in their daily work and career development. You will set clear goals for the team members and coach them to ensure they collaborate to achieve these and the overarching unit goals.

  

For this you will need to collaborate closely with Product Management and UX Designers as part of an Empowered Product Team. To ensure the solutions work end-to-end, you will also collaborate cross-levels in the Engineering unit to ensure we drive customer value consistently and strategically. You will ensure all developed features comply with our software development process, relevant product standards, regulations, and legal requirements. 

 

Accountable for the technical realization and quality of the team outcomes within the capacity of the team Clarify implementation approach and plan execution with the team Collaborate with PM and Ux on prioritization of backlog, technology, resources Identify and address potential delivery risks that may impact the success of the product Partner on product discovery with PM and UX to translate product vision and strategy into a product backlog Ensure supportability of the product e.g. telemetry, performance, security, monitoring and customer feedback channels

 

What you bring

Required skills 

Creativity combined with a pragmatic sense for feasibility and priorities  Agile development methodologies and tools with experience in leading agile teams Very good communication skills, C1/C2 proficiency in English, both written and oral  Excellent team player with cross-cultural awareness  Self-motivated individual with a positive can-do attitude and innovator mindset  Customer-oriented and outcome-focused work attitude  Solid technical knowledge on cloud native software development, including hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in the Java environment

 

Optional skills 

3+ years of leadership experience acting as a functional leader, agile leader or as people manager  Experience with workflow and data collection software Knowledge in the sustainability domain, especially in ESG reporting and related regulations Experience with related SAP solutions and technologies, such as SAP BTP, CAP, OData, SAP UI5, Fiori Elements and SAP Deploy with Confidence
