Development Quality Summer Intern

We are seeking undergraduate sophomore and junior students majoring in engineering, science, or a related field for a 12-Week Student Intern role with one opening in Durham, NC for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.

Objective/Goals:

During this internship, the student will gain the following skills and experience:

Understanding of the product development lifecycle, from introduction into development to commercialization.Problem solving and risk management skills, including quality events.Understanding of the clinical supply chain; how we get our medicines to patients.Scientific understanding of the new product portfolio, including devices.The role of Quality in development, and how to develop and apply the appropriate quality standards.

Position Duties:

Leading, facilitating, and setting the standard for transformational initiatives through Business Process Management (BPM)/Lean with a technical/digital focus.Project management and task execution for Site Improvement projects enabling the implementation of aspirational new ways of working. Site, functional and global cross collaboration and interaction (Research and Development, Global Pharmaceutical Quality Systems, IT, and others) in order to deliver solutions. Setting the QA requirements and monitoring Clinical Batches from the Quality Perspective.​​

Position Requirements:

Undergraduate sophomore and junior students majoring in engineering, science, or a related field. **Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.Must be a self-starter, able to work independently,Previous experience from research and projects in digital technology and/or science.Some programming skills would be a plus.Previous experience in building data collection platforms.Proficiency in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, WordMust be able to meet deadlines/balance multiple tasks at one timeEnthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.US Work Authorization is required at time of application.This role will not be providing CPT/OPT support.Ability to report onsite to Durham, NC five days a week. This role will not provide relocation assistance.Minimum grade point average of 3.0
