The Development Scientist I for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible working with a team to design, perform and analyze experimental data for in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) products.

This position is part of the Clinical Chemistry and Immunoassay (CCIA) organization located in Chaska, MN and will be fully on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time. 

You will be a part of the Immunoassay Research and Development team and report to the Manager of Development Science responsible for development and support immunoassays and reagents for Beckman Coulter’s fully-automated clinical diagnostic systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
•    Performing laboratory experiments and procedures accurately and efficiently
•    Gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to draw meaningful conclusions
•    Keeping detailed and accurate records of experiments, procedures, and results
•    Following all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
•    Continuously improving your skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities

The essential requirements of the job include: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Biological Sciences or related discipline 
•    0-2+ years of laboratory experience
•    Candidates must have knowledge of good laboratory practices and scientific methods
•    Ability to work independently and in a team environment 


It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
•    Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
•    Working knowledge of statistical methods and design of experiments
