Purpose

The Development Specialist, Campaign Operations primarily supports the vetting, design, and build-out of fundraising campaigns for Development partners across the University. The Development Specialist will triage incoming requests for fundraising campaigns and assist partners with developing the appropriate campaign architecture within the University’s customer relationship management (CRM) system Affinaquest/Salesforce.

Additionally, the role will assist with data processing and manipulation needs for Annual Giving Programs. The Development Specialist will assist in auditing, cleaning, and formatting data and ensuring end-to-end data quality and accuracy through consistent standardized quality control processes. They may also help manage tertiary elements and processes that support fundraising campaign tracking. The Development Specialist will be a key contributor for Annual Giving Programs and the upcoming new CRM implementation.

The Development Specialist, Campaign Operations will report to the Associate Director, Project Operations and will work closely with the Assistant Director, Data Operations.

Responsibilities

Play the primary role in managing the fundraising campaign creation process in the CRM system:

Works with internal team members and development partners across campus to ensure requests for fundraising campaigns are processed efficiently and in accordance with Development standards.Upholds a customer service approach to working and meeting the needs of campus partners.Ensures high-quality, complete, and standardized campaign frameworks are delivered to internal and external stakeholders.Assists with other elements related to the CRM transition.

Assist with ongoing data needs for Annual Giving Programs and partners:

Works closely with Assistant Director for Development, Data Operations to assist with Annual Giving data needs and improvements to operations.Identifies, rectifies, and continually improves the quality of data in current and future CRM system.Cleans, formats, and QC’s data sets for fundraising campaigns (direct mail, texting, emails, digital ads, etc.)Maintains data integrity within university ecosystem.Assists with link customization and other elements related to campaign tracking.Potential growth to include pulling and building reports, identifying trackable data, auditing data, and other dynamic data support work.Additional duties as assigned.

Required QualificationsBachelor's degree and one year experience in higher education, non-profit, fundraising and/or database managementExperience assisting with database marketing programs preferred (Salesforce, Affinaquest experience preferred)Comfort manipulating large data setsDemonstrated attention to detailExperience with MS Excel (advanced knowledge preferred)Ability to prioritize tasks / project managementCustomer service mindset or experience

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Salary Range

$54,000
