Summary :The Development Specialist, Foundation generates philanthropic revenue in support of foundation and ThedaCare priorities. Provides oversight of programs that may include major gifts, planned gifts, capital giving, annual giving, and special events.

Job Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Generates philanthropic revenue.

Builds and strengthens relationships with prospective donors, sponsors, grateful patients, team members, committee members, and other advocates of ThedaCare.

Provides quality stewardship to donors to ensure high levels of donor retention.

Serves as a subject matter expert in areas of responsibility, i.e., major gifts, planned gifts, capital giving, annual giving, and special events.

Utilizes data to implement strategy to ensure financial goals are met and exceeded.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree

Three years of experience in fundraising or relationship building

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance

Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility

Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
