Job Details:
PurposeTo work in collaboration with the Annual Giving Programs team (AGP) and the colleges, schools and units (CSUs) at The University of Texas at Austin to create and support multi-channel marketing campaigns for alumni, friends, parents and students
ResponsibilitiesAct as account manager for key CSUs clients of annual giving programs.Coordinate and participate in regular meetings with CSU clients.Work with CSU partners to develop and guide annual giving strategy throughout the fiscal year including planned solicitations strategies as well as one-off time-sensitive projects.Build AGP and CSU relationship through relationship building, consulting, strategy, testing, and reporting results.Project ManagementProject lead internal and CSU specific multi-channel campaigns throughout the fiscal year.Help coordinate projects and create creative briefs for each project.Work within Asana, AGP’s project management tool, to manage projects and collaborate on work amongst internal and cross-campus colleagues. Work with AGP leadership to coordinate documentation of processes and procedures.ReportingCollaborate with Associate Director and internal and cross-team partners to analyze completed campaign results to help inform future marketing strategies. Report on results to CSU Clients, the AGP Team, and leadership regularly.Review, write, and proofread copy for Annual Giving Program projects and ensure that the copy is in line with university messaging and annual giving best practices.Coordinate and work with vendors as needed to produce above campaigns.Other duties as assigned, including providing ad hoc support for annual giving programs campaigns like 40 Hours for the Forty Acres, student giving, texting, etc.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and at least one year of professional experience in nonprofit or higher education advancement/development. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, organize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external audiences.Strong attention to detail.The ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a part of a team.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of higher education fundraising and Texas’ philanthropy.Excellent editing skills and experience with fundraising writing.Experience with donor CRMs (Salesforce is a plus), project management tools (Asana is a plus) and commercial printing/production processes.Experience with direct marketing channels including phone, email, mail, texting and crowdfunding.A strong drive to be successful and the ability to think strategically.Salary Range$54,000
Working ConditionsTypical office environment.
Austin-area based is required with a blend of in-person work and remote work.
Potential for infrequent work outside of normal office hours.
