In this vital role you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of products, process knowledge and technology solutions to enable Amgen’s accelerated product commercialization. The DSC business spans from demand and supply planning, sourcing, manufacturing to distribution of products to support clinical trials globally. As an integral part of Process Development organization, DSC provides an innovation ecosystem to advance differentiating multi-modality capabilities and gain insight in development and regulated environment in support of product and process development. Leveraging our tech transfer and manufacturing capabilities, DSC serves as a launch site to enable speed to market for Amgen’s innovative products and biosimilars. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will drive strategic decisions in support of Product Development Teams (PDTs) and help advance Amgen’s program portfolio. **Responsibilities:** + Serve as a program-specific single point of contact for end-to-end DSC strategies + Representative on PDTs providing DSC subject matter expertise for standard timelines for complex programs ensuring reliable and efficient execution, working with the supply chain team to identify risks and lead mitigations through resolution + Lead program-specific clinical supply chain teams to develop end-to-end supply chain strategies, including accurate demand forecast, management of supply plans, evaluate and mitigate risks + Develop, manage and monitor long-range supply strategies that fulfill varying clinical development plans with consideration to product intermediate and finished good variations and impact on DSC budget, capabilities and capacities + Apply Lean principles to our business processes including respecting our staff, identifying and eliminating waste and driving continuous improvement + Manage all aspects of demand and supply planning for Amgen Partnerships, liaising with both Alliance Management and our business partners, to ensure supply needs are met + Adopt and promote the use of data analytics, visualization and reporting **What we expect of you** We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The professional we seek is a go getter with these qualifications. **Basic Qualifications:** Doctorate degree and 2 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience **Or** Master’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science directly or related experience **Or** Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science experience **Or** Associate’s degree and 10 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science experience **Or** High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain, Operations, Life Science experience **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or Business + GCP & GMP knowledge and understanding of clinical drug development + 5+ years of work experience in the planning, manufacturing and global distribution of medicinal products + 3+ years organizational or program management (leading teams, cross-functional problem solving, performance management, budget oversight, process development and improvement) + 3+ years of work experience in clinical study design, approval, supply and management + 3+ years of supply chain management using SAP (logistics, supply planning, demand management) + Highly analytical with attention to detail + Demonstrated ability to generate visual analytics, from inception to deployment to maintenance + Established experience creating digital solutions for business processes to drive process improvements + APICS CPIM certification **What you can expect of us** As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being. The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
