Summary of Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and analysis of experiments aimed at the creation and optimization of leading-edge silicon transistor technology (12nm technology generation and beyond) within a development environment. This includes both physical and electrical data analysis, as well as extensive interaction with other technology development teams (FEOL integration modules, unit process, reliability, and modeling). In addition to the achievement of industry-leading device characteristics, variability and reliability must be monitored and controlled to ensure manufacturability. Interaction with customer design groups is also a facet of this position to define technology requirements and parametric goals for GlobalFoundries' technology roadmaps.

  

Essential Responsibilities Include:  

Optimize and develop device and processes to lead to device characterization.

Perform specialized design and develop devices.​ 

Understand the process integration that leads to device characterization. 

Optimize devices by understanding semiconductor device physics and device manufacturing process associated.  

Conduct various analytical and physics-based models and or process integration methods. 

Enable new features with efficiency for new technologies, features, or device introduction. 

Other Responsibilities: 

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications:  

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, or related field from an accredited degree program.

Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing. 

Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)  

Preferred Qualifications:  

Experience in data automation and scripting with Python, R, SQL or JMP/JSL. 

Design, execution, and analysis of experiments. 

Project management skills - the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.  

Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$52,500.00 - $107,000.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
