**Role Summary**
The DevOps Engineer supports Splunk's Corporate CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure. In this position, you'll collaborate with various engineering teams worldwide to create and sustain our microservices build, test, and release pipelines. You'll bring a real passion for automation, aiming to develop robust and scalable tools essential for building, testing, and releasing software effectively. You'll have the opportunity to work on greenfield projects and mitigate existing legacy code challenges. We are in search of an outstanding engineer to become a key member of our team!
**What You'll Be Doing**
Your primary focus will be on the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and integrations, working closely with global distributed engineering teams. A significant part of your day will involve applying your passion for automation and discovery to create scalable tools for releasing software. You'll also administer frameworks for automated testing within these pipelines, ensuring optimal performance across various platforms while surfacing insight via Splunk.
Your experience in complex multi-platform environments will be essential as you work through challenges and optimize legacy code. Effective communication and collaboration skills are key, as you'll frequently interact across teams to align DevOps strategies with broader organizational goals. You'll contribute significantly to greenfield projects and continuous process improvement, upholding the standards of excellence expected in your role.
**Must-have Qualifications**
+ Possess three years or more of practical experience in running Linux based systems (Ubuntu/RHEL, etc.)
+ Validated experience in DevOps, SRE, and Systems Administration
+ CI/CD pipeline experience in a distributed environment using tools like GitHub, Artifactory, CircleCI, Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker registry, etc.
+ A foundational understanding of a scripting language (Python, Ruby, Golang, etc.) and a strong desire to automate and solution issues with code.
+ Knowledge of container technology like Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes
+ Proficiency with Configuration Management tools like Ansible, terraform, or Puppet
+ Ability to provide reliable technical support and mentorship on complex issues in a high velocity environment.
+ Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers and upper management.
+ Solid understanding of cloud computing - AWS, GCE, Azure

+ An understanding of networking concepts and Internet protocols.
+ Practical knowledge of HashiCorp toolsets like Vault, Terraform or Packer.
+ Experience with monitoring and alerting systems such as Splunk, Graphite, Logstash, or Nagios
