DevOps Engineer [F/M/X]

Job description

We at Amaris are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our cloud-based infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll manage and optimize our cloud environments and DevOps processes, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency across the board.

Key Responsibilities: Cloud Infrastructure Management: Lead and manage cloud migration projects primarily within AWS, with Azure as a secondary focus. Experience with Rancher and other cloud platforms is a plus. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure using tools such as Terraform and Helm to streamline our Infrastructure as Code processes. Kubernetes and Container Orchestration: Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (including Istio for service mesh where needed) to support our applications and services. DevOps Tooling and Automation: Enhance CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD, and other modern automation tools. Monitoring and Reliability: Utilize tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Vault to ensure high availability, monitoring, and security of our infrastructure. Big Data and Analytics Infrastructure: Support our data teams by integrating tools like Databricks and Snowflake. Experience with event streaming (e.g., Kafka, MQTT) and large-scale data processing (e.g., Spark, Ray) is highly valued. Security Compliance: Ensure systems adhere to security standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, and ISO 27017) and DevSecOps best practices. Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with developers, architects, and data engineers to ensure seamless integration, smooth delivery, and security of our services. Skills & Requirements: Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 7 years of experience with AWS, with added experience in Azure or other cloud platforms considered a plus. Languages: Proficiency in Python and Go for scripting and automation. Tool Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Prometheus, Grafana, and Vault. CI/CD Mastery: Demonstrated ability to create and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows. Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of security best practices, including DevSecOps principles, cloud security configurations, and compliance standards. Big Data Tools: Familiarity with data tools and environments such as Databricks, Snowflake, Data Lake architectures, and large-scale processing tools. Communication Skills: Fluency in English is essential; Swedish is a plus. Personal Attributes: You thrive in a dynamic environment, bringing forward solutions and improvements proactively.
