Job Type: Full-Time, 24/7 On-Call Support (Rotation Basis)

Shifts: Morning/Afternoon (3 Shifts on Rotation)

Work Schedule: 5 Days per Week (Including Weekends)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an On-Call DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Linux systems administration and proficiency in a wide range of DevOps tools and technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing critical incidents, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the round-the-clock availability and performance of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Linux Administration: Proficient in Linux systems administration, with strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of key root directories. Expertise in Bash/Python scripting is essential. DevOps Tool Proficiency: Experience with monitoring tools such as Icinga2, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, and incident management platforms like PagerDuty. Networking: Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Documentation: Ability to produce clear and concise documentation in English to ensure knowledge transfer and operational continuity. Certification Management: Basic understanding of SSL/TLS certificates and their deployment in various environments. On-Call Support: Comfortable with after-hours and weekend support, responding promptly to incidents and s. Communication: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Security: Responsible handling of root access, adhering to security best practices.

Preferred Skills:

Cloud & Containers: Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Azure, and virtualization technologies like KVM. Database Management: Familiarity with MySQL and PostgreSQL server administration. Infrastructure Automation: Knowledge of Ansible and Puppet for configuration management. Collaboration Tools: Experience with the Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence). Monitoring & ing: Familiarity with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Icinga.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience in an on-call DevOps role managing incidents and outages. Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Capable of coordinating with team experts during critical incidents.

Additional Preferred Skills:

4+ years of experience with Linux command line. Familiarity with server orchestration tools like Foreman. Previous exposure to CI/CD pipelines and associated technologies like Jenkins or Puppet. Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes (a plus). Proven track record in implementing and managing monitoring and ing systems like Icinga and Grafana/Prometheus.
