The Mark43 law enforcement platform provides mission critical services to law enforcement agencies across the country. If our systems go down, people’s lives quite literally hang in the balance. As a Mark43 DevOps Engineer, you’ll rise to this challenge by ensuring our infrastructure is fault tolerant, fully automated, secure and complies with applicable regulations. You’ll use tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to engineer automated build/deploy processes, design production systems, integrate reliable monitoring and alerting, and manage deployments. 

  

What you can expect to work on: 

Managing Mark43's cloud infrastructure in AWS  Innovating and refining the observability and monitoring of our platform, helping ensure we provide a consistently high quality of service  Developing and delivering DevOps supporting practices, standards, technology and infrastructure to enable engineering teams  Creating and maintaining the Pipeline as Code systems that build, configure, deploy, and test our applications  Ensuring that our platform is scalable, fault tolerant and highly available  Creating tools for automating deployment and operations of the overall Mark43 platform  Participating in 24/7 on-call shared rotation to provide infrastructure support and troubleshooting  Driving our GitOps and Infrastructure as Code efforts to incorporate software development best practices into managing and automating our cloud infrastructure  Owning critical projects that directly impact the long-term health of the overall Mark43 platform 

  

What we expect from you: 

2+ years of industry experience in a DevOps role  Experience working in AWS and/or Azure  Experience building and maintaining codified CI/CD pipelines to build, package, and deploy applications  Experience working with and integrating leading monitoring and observability tools, with effective and proactive alerting  Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm) technologies  Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) technologies  Understanding of Security & Compliance best practices
