The Mission

As an DevOps Engineer in the Enterprise Data Lake chapter, in Section31 team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the Shared Data Lake setup and automating as much as possible your day-to-day tasks, but also fixing incidents raised by ETL development teams.

Your day to day

Even if you’ll start your day from the comfort of your home or drink your morning coffee in our office’s garden, your daily responsibilities will be:

Providing infrastructure and application support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux Servers and Oracle Databases.Solving vulnerabilities (IT Risks Controls)You will automate current manual work by creating Azure Pipelines or scripts (Bash, Python)You will maintain existing pipelines, that are used by ETL dev teams to propagate their work in upper environments.You will create NPAs, you will tune Databases, you will migrate data.You will fix incidents, raised towards your team.You will work in a productive and nice team, opened for feedback.

What you’ll bring to the team

Experience: more than 3 years.

Experience working in LINUX environments (sysadmin, debugging, bash scripting);Experienced with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps/Azure Pipelines)Good knowledge of Oracle database.Familiar with IT Security concepts and terminology related to applications, databases, operating systems, and IT operations (patching, vulnerability scanning, backup strategy, zero-day vulnerabilities, DR exercise);Strong risk based, analytical and problem-solving skills;Basic knowledge of networking concepts (ip routing, firewall, security);A desire to learn new technologies and evolve with an ever changing industry;Accurate in documenting and following procedures;Comfortable to discuss incidents/changes with stakeholders and external Vendor;

Nice to have:

Python experience is a plus.Some experience with administration of IBM InfoSphere suit (different versions 11.5, 11.7);Some experience (using these tools) is nice to have: Monitoring Tooling like Prometheus and ElasticStack;Experience with Kubernetes, Windows Server, Stepping Stones, Cloud concepts.

Foreign languages: English (advanced).

Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field.
