Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for creating, modifying, and troubleshooting programmable code in all our manufacturing process control systems.  This person will be interfacing with Emerson DeltaV, PLC, and other 3rd party software platforms.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Troubleshoot existing code to keep equipment operationalOptimize control systems to provide most efficient and cost-efficient solutionsSpecify control systems or additional control system equipment based on project requirementsCoordinate work with employees from other departments such as Operations, Maintenance, and ElectricalEnsures all licensing is up to date and responsible for software updatesCompletes programming and implements efficiencies, performs testing and debugging.Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.Human-Machine Interface (HMI) development – operator screens creationPlan for system maintenance – such as hardware upgrades, software upgrades, or control program uploads or downloadsData collection creation and verificationImprove and implement system documentation for increased understanding of how the system works and is configuredTrain electricians on troubleshooting of DCS and PLC systemsMaintain inventory of critical components for the control systemsMaintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Performs other duties as assigned.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.Expected to work outside of normal working hours to keep all plant operations on-line
