What will you be doing?
Responsible for deploying, automating, maintaining, troubleshooting and improving the systems that keep the backend infrastructure running smoothly,Ensuring the security, performance, monitoring and design integrity of data and the underlying infrastructure,Building close working relationships with Business customers as well as internal and external service providers to ensure continuity of Business and application service,Contributing to the shaping of technical standards and guidelines whilst ensuring a consistent Cloud DevOps approach is applied across the various BI Tools used within the area,Troubleshooting deployment incidents if they happen,Providing input to inform the shaping of new projects and initiatives, assessing the impact of initiatives or projects on systems/applications,Be a bridge between the operations and Cloud teams,Undertaking design and code reviews to ensure systems meet functional and non functional requirements and proactively identifying where changes are required to maintain these in the future,Take an active part in vulnerability management and disaster recovery to protect Aviva systems.What we’re looking for?
1-4 years of experience for the Mid position, 4+ years for the Senior roleExperience of working as DevOps or Software Engineer,AWS operational experience (EC2, ASG, SG, EKS, S3, LB, Route53, SNS, SQS, KMS, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, FSxN, etc.)Azure DevOps tools operational experience (Pipelines),Have knowledge about most of the mentioned tools and programming languages: HCL (Packer, Terraform), Jenkins (DSL Groovy), Puppet/Ansible, GIT, Jira, Confluence, Powershell, Bash, SQL, Python,Extensive understanding of concepts like CI/CD, configuration management, cloud platforms, version control, automation, monitoring, analytics,Experience of Windows Server technologies – e.g. Active Directory, DNS, File services, Windows 2019 and 2022,Experience with Windows Server and Linux troubleshooting,Knowledge of Postgres or MSSQL databases,Ability to effectively communicate with team members,Desire to learn new technologies, automate and continuously improve existing standards and frameworks,At least basic understanding of DevOps culture.Nice to have:
Java, Selenium knowledgeNetwork troubleshooting knowledge,Experience working in serverless environments,Experience of working in a zero trust security environment.In Aviva Services Excellence Centre, we provide:
