We are seeking an enthusiastic Azure DevOps Engineer Intern to join our growing team. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to help build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to streamline deployments, improve workflows, and ensure a flawless cloud experience. Key Responsibilities: Help configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (and potentially other tools). Learn standard processes for automating application builds, tests, and deployments. Collaborate with senior engineers to use Terraform and Ansible for consistent and scalable resource provisioning and deployments. Contribute to writing and maintaining Terraform modules to automate the provisioning of core Azure services including Azure App Services, Virtual Machines, Kubernetes, and Azure Storage while incorporating our standards and best practices. Help create and refine Ansible playbooks for managing resource configurations, maintenance, and deployments. Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or Python to streamline system administration, configuration management, and cloud resource provisioning. Manage code repositories and ensure proper version control practices using Git, working with platforms like Azure Repos or GitHub to support efficient teamwork and code sharing. Utilize and configure monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and other logging tools to detect issues early, track performance, and optimize system health. Learn about identity management, role-based access control (RBAC), and other security measures in cloud environments. Support the team in reviewing and implementing security checks. Work closely with development, operations, and QA teams to learn how to troubleshoot deployment issues, optimize workflows, and maintain a reliable and scalable environment. Requirements Currently pursuing (or recently graduated with) a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of cloud computing, including familiarity with core cloud services such as compute, storage, networking, and security. Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Gitlab, or GitHub Actions on a basic level. Experience with Git and Git-based platforms like Azure Repos or GitHub for managing source code and versioning. Familiarity with Infrastructure and Configuration as Code concepts (Terraform, Ansible, Arm templates, etc.) Experience in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks and system management. Strong eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies. Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and convey technical concepts clearly. Preferred Qualifications: Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or similar are a plus. Familiarity with APM tools such as Azure Monitor, Application insights, is a plus. A basic understanding of Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. Familiarity with security best practices.
