DevOps/ Kubernetes Engineer

The Leidos Spatial Solutions Division has an opening for an experienced DevOps Engineer to assist with the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission critical systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role are to automate manual processes currently being handled manually as well as maintain and operate new processes as developed by the CAAT.Develop Windows automation with the use of Python and/or Microsoft PowerShell, as appropriateSupport the deployment of microservices via a DevSecOps pipeline within a Windows and Linux-based multi-tenant environment. Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline codeConfigure, troubleshoot, and deploy docker containersReview code within Git and extract/create engineering documentation as neededSupport Developer deploymentsProvide technical guidance for all capabilities/microservicesSupport Developer testing in the environmentCreate and Maintain DevOps documentationConduct Security remediation as needed from scans

Basic Qualifications:

Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.2-3 years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure.  Preferably with OpenShift or EKS2-3 years of recent experience in Docker containersProficiency with Microsoft PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.Demonstrated experience administrating both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.Understanding of custom code development/reviewsExperience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scriptingExperience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, ECS)Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)Experience supporting development testingExperience with cloud-based architecturesUnderstanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflowExperience developing and managing CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment PracticesTeam Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)Must have a CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certificationMust possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hireMust be a U.S. CitizenTypically requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.Active TS/SCI

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
