The Mission Solutions Business Area at Leidos is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team responsible for the integration, operations, and sustainment of various operational and in-development systems. The candidate for this position will support and lead the deployment of microservices via a DevSecOps pipeline, supporting Windows-based, Linux-based, and containerized multi-tenant environment.  The candidate’s responsibilities will span development and implementation guidelines to align with implemented CI/CD capabilities, define and coordinate technical implementation standards, and assist program leadership on technical runway by identifying use cases/gaps in existing implementation.

The primary duties will be to:

Support the deployment of microservices via a DevSecOps pipeline within Windows and Linux-based multi-tenant environments.Develop, update, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline codeConfigure, troubleshoot, and deploy docker containersConfigure, troubleshoot, and deploy to Kubernetes clustersReview code within Git and extract/create engineering documentation as neededSupport Developer deploymentsProvide technical guidance for all capabilities/microservicesSupport Developer testing in the environmentCreate and Maintain DevOps documentationEngage with Program, Customer and DevOps tool providers/technical stakeholders on existing practices and document gaps/use casesProvide hands-on technical analysis and implementation support for service expansion and implementation standardization

Basic Qualifications:

Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hireBS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience.Experience in lieu of degreeProactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skillsUnderstanding of custom code standards/best practice implementation for CI/CD, including branching strategiesExperience with GITLAB functionality, metrics, error codes and scriptingExperience with Kubernetes tools (e.g., kubectl, helm)Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, EKS, ECS)Experience using and leveraging AWS Roles and Policies (IAM) as part of CI/CD pipeline standardizationExperience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway) as well as scaling standards and practicesExperience with cloud-based architectures (IaaS, PaaS), including data-workflows and interactivity with DevOps toolsetsUnderstanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflowDirect experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment PracticesKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code concepts and enabling COTS Products (Packer, Terraform)Team Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab, Microsoft Teams)

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
