DevOps / Machine Learning Ops Engineer - AWS

The Zelis Data Intelligence team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer who seeks a role supporting a rapid growth tech-enabled healthcare company.  The DevOps Engineer will partner with our corporate Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) and be responsible for expanding, managing and maintaining our ZDI Cloud and AI infrastructure on AWS, implementing best practices for automation, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.  

 

Location and Workplace Flexibility: We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote friendly culture and all of our employee's work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies. 

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform, following infrastructure as code principles, with a focus on establishing and maintaining best practices for MLOps infrastructure

Manage and optimize AWS services such as AWS Sagemaker and AWS ECS 

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards

Collaborate with development teams to streamline the software development lifecycle

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime and reliability

Design and implement cloud network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, SGs, DNS, load balancers

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing

 

Requirements:

3+ years of experience with AWS system and network architecture design, with specific focus on AWS Sagemaker and AWS ECS

3+ years of experience with CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code

5+ years of experience building and deploying DevOps environments for enterprise organizations

5+ years of experience implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance within DevOps environments

Proficiency in at least one programming language, with preference for Ruby

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS Solutions Architect certification

Experience with legacy infrastructure migration projects

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
