Role Overview
We're looking for a people-focused DevOps leader to manage our European team's performance and operational excellence on AWS. This
role emphasizes coordinating cross-functional efforts while developing engineering talent. You'll create an environment where technical
teams collaborate effectively, resolve conflicts, and deliver mission-critical projects. Your ability to build relationships, facilitate
communication, and develop people will be just as crucial as your technical background.
What You'll Do

Build and lead high-performing DevOps teams across European locations

Coordinate team efforts on our AWS infrastructure using GitOps methodologies

Create clear development paths for team members with regular coaching and meaningful feedback

Facilitate collaboration between engineering, product, and operations during our AWS transformation

Establish team processes that balance technical excellence with employee well-being

Mediate technical discussions to reach consensus and drive decisions forward

Translate technical challenges into people-centered solutions

Our Tech Stack

AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitLab, Terraform Enterprise, Splunk, Rancher, Wavefront, Vault, and more
Requirements
5+ years working with Linux systems and infrastructure
5+ years building and maintaining SaaS platforms
4+ years hands-on with AWS and Kubernetes environments
Proven success managing a team of 5+ engineers for at least 2 years
Experience leading technical discussions and making decisions that impact multiple teams
Strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills in technical environments
Experience running effective 1:1s, team meetings, and performance reviews
Ability to recognize team strengths/weaknesses and distribute work accordingly
Track record of successful cross-team coordination and stakeholder management
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in a technical field
Experience managing remote or distributed technical teams
Background in organizational development or team transformation
Project management or leadership certifications
Experience supporting team members through career transitions
History of improving team culture and reducing turnover
This role reports to the Director of DevOps and will be responsible for a team of 6-8 DevOps engineers across European locations. The
right candidate will maintain technical credibility while focusing primarily on team coordination, talent development, and operational
effectiveness
