DevOps Software Engineer

The team is responsible for cloud-based Infrastructure. DevOps “engineers” care about Infrastructure as a Code and qualification process based on automated tests written in pytest. Team members interact with Developers and Testers from different Product Teams and help them to deliver their applications. The team assists in building and supporting the development environment, including developing and maintaining the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery Pipelines. They support end-to-end testing, and solution integrations but also share DevOps best practices. DevOps of the team actively facilitates releases and are responsible for planning, preparing, deploying, and releasing solutions for both infrastructure and contentised applications.

We seek a skilled DevOps Engineer to join one of our product teams. This permanent role requires a strong development background, a core technical mindset, and a solid understanding of technical architecture. 

Key responsibilities:

Cooperating with other product streams to diagnose and understand their needs, proposing solutions and providing technological consultancy;

Working closely with Business Analysts and Solution Architects on requirement gathering and providing technical expertise;

Exemplary understanding of current trends, tools and practices in the area of DevOps and Cloud;

Having experience in Cloud and on-premise infrastructure with medium to large global enterprises with global geographical topologies;

Having experience in ensuring wide adoption of DevOps practices in large-scale platforms and organizations;

Having experience in cloud adoption, cloud platform design,cloud management and monitoring across public, private and hybrid cloud deployments in corporate environments;

Having proficiency with CI/CD, Infrastructure as a Code , containerization, orchestration, building DevOps toolchains and software development process automation;

Effectively engaging, influencing and negotiating with business and IT Partners at all levels and promoting candid communication during creation of strategies and roadmaps;

Knowing standards and ability to put good practices in the scope of designing the architecture of IT solutions.

Example projects you may work on:

Leading teams delivering strategic Cloud solutions in the area of Pharma Development IT;

Performing key roles in strategic projects focused on DevOps transformation;

Designing and developing key automation and infrastructure solutions;

Cooperation with business partners on the implementation of DevOps practices and improving organizational DevOps maturity;

Defining security strategy for DevOps pipelines.

Who you are:

Proficient in using AWS tools such as EKS, S3, FSx, RDS, and DocumentDb.

Skilled in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.

Have hands-on experience with Terraform.

Proficient in scripting languages like Python and Bash.

You demonstrate a strong desire to resolve issues and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment with time pressure, collaborating with a geographically distributed team.

Have a natural curiosity to ask insightful questions and a willingness to take ownership of tasks and challenges

Understand the principles of CI/CD and contribute to building automated pipelines using tools like GitLab and ArgoCD.

Proactively propose new solutions and continuous improvements

Automated Testing: Experienced with testing frameworks such as Pytest and Boto3. 

Communicates fluently and effectively in English.

Salary range 17 000 - 24 000 PLN gross based on the employment contract (Umowa o pracę), depending on qualifications and expertise.
