Our client requires 3 DevOps Specialists to collaborate with project team and product owners on service innovation, program review, and digital transformation projects. This requires ability to manage agile sprint processes, provide leadership in agile principles, and ensure efficient delivery of new services. Responsibilities include creating automation scripts, managing production environments, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and aiding delivery teams in best practices for testing and deployment.

Work is remote.

Edmonton, Alberta (Remote)

Responsibilities Create scripts, tools, and procedures for operations by designing and implementing automation for limited downtime deployment and maintenance. Lead production operations by managing configuration and credentials, plan and manage maintenance activities, and handle database upgrades, migrations, backups, and recoveries Develop templates and patterns for application deployments and CI/CD pipelines, automate environment setups for development and testing, and create tools for better application observability through monitoring and telemetry tools Support delivery teams by providing operations support for integration testing, security scans, system testing, performance and load testing, and early and frequent delivery to end-users in limited availability launches (Alphas and Betas) Mandatory Requirements 2 years’ experience with research, analysis and problem solving. 3 years’ experience documenting issues, solutions, and procedures. 2 years’ experience with access tools like SSH Clients and Remote Desktop. 2 years’ experience with basic security awareness such as secrets management and the principle of least privilege. 3 years’ experience with command line interfaces for command execution and file system traversal. 2 years’ experience with DevOps practices within a Public Sector organization in Canada 1 year experience with networking tools like DNS lookups, Trace Routes and load balancing. Desirable Requirements 2 years’ experience with disaster recovery testing 2 years’ experience with public sector development guidelines and principles 1 year experience with load balancing through tools like Azure FrontDoor, F5 BigIP, etc.
