CGI Federal is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer who is passionate about solving challenging technical problems.
To support our growth and efforts to modernize our applications and delivery frameworks, we need a DevOps Systems Engineer that is able to learn new technologies to enhance the existing systems while gaining an understanding of the client ecosystem. This position will work in support of multiple applications that will require modernization.
This position is located in our Cleveland, OH office.
• Apply problem solving skills to modernize overall technology solutions.
• Develop and troubleshoot challenging technical solutions that include automation, software
issues, monitoring, maintenance, configuration, and CI/CD pipeline implementations.
• Participate in technical architecture solution efforts by interfacing with feature and product
teams to understand business needs working alongside functional team members.
• Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities with the ability to support multiple work
streams and drive assimilation of new techniques and solutions.
• Follow technology trends within the Cloud and DevOps to inform how this technology will
benefit the future development platform.
• Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve issues.
• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science
or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience designing, documenting and developing Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery Pipelines for complex applications preferably using Git,
Github Enterprise, Amazon Web Services CloudFormation and/or CDK, and other
automation tools
• Solid scripting skills (e.g. Python, shell scripts)
• Experience using tools related to microservices and containerization, such as
Kubernetes/AWS EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway
• Experience working in a cloud-based environment (preferably Amazon Web Services)
• Managing security requirements, including patching, to maintain existing security
authorization
• Analyzing system logs to perform root-cause analysis of performance or infrastructure
issues
• Build solutions with a security minded approach

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $67,800.00 - $150,200.
