Here at Nexstar Media Group (Digital), we build, maintain, and launch hundreds of sites and mobile/OTT apps that millions of people view every day. The Lead DevOps Engineer will be responsible for owning the technical reviews, architecture and maintenance of the DevOps team and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong DevOps background skilled at solving complex challenges in cloud architecture, formation, deployments and monitoring. We are looking for someone who is comfortable digging into requirements, has strong cloud coding and release management skills and a knack for problem solving issues with items like VCL configuration or legacy SFTP quirks. You will be on hand to assist in mentoring other DevOps engineers in how to code, build, release and maintain a cloud architecture which includes AWS and Fastly.

Lead the technical architecture, review, and planning of the DevOps team code and infrastructureEnforcing consistent software quality by implementing tests and performing code reviewsCollaborating with product owners, engineers, and data scientists to build a seamless platformChampioning new technologies and enforcing the best development patternsDebugging issues and solving problems in production/live systemsBuilding and maintain infrastructure as code with TerraformCreating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub ActionsContinuously improving the platform and the infrastructurePerform code reviews and enforce coding standardsMinimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience working as a Sr DevOps EngineerExcellent interpersonal skills to interact with stakeholders, to understand business requirementsIn depth knowledge of classic and modern era networking, Ansible, AWS at scale, Bash or Python, GitHub, CDNs, DNS, Terraform, Jira.A deep understanding of how a "website works", and how people connect to it over the internet including TCP, DNS, HTTP, response, headers, redirects, cookies, etc.Experience developing and maintaining automation tools, infrastructure as code, monitoring systems, log aggregationHighly Desired
Experience using ELK and FastlyExperience in the media and broadcasting industryThe salary range for this role is $190-195K. Other benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match and Paid parental leave.
