About your next Challenge as a DEVOPS Technical Lead:
The L-3 MAPPS Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) running on board various military ships throughout the world is built using software developed by L3Harris MAPPS and integrates with almost all onboard equipment.
The DEVOPS Technical Lead owns the overall continuous integration and continuous deployment infrastructure and is responsible to maintain, develop and enhanced the overall solution with the DevOps team. As an expert you are responsible to make recommendations on tools and technologies to support the different business needs. The overall solution needs to support the different development groups (software, cybersecurity, software QA, and FSR) as well as to support different deployment environment (virtual, test site, on ship).
Essential Functions:
Lead the DevOps team, architecture definition, provide guidance, as well as managing ticket queues/backlogs and prioritizing work.Orchestrate and automate the various continuous integration, compilation and delivery chains, and provide support to users of these continuous integration and deployment platforms (virtual, test site and ship).Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for DevOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights and advice.Participate, promote, and lead internal development best practices sharing.Continuously evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that improve the software delivery process.Collaborate with the architecture team, software and software QA group, to define and prioritize the DevOps infrastructure backlog.Build our next application hosting platform built around Nutanix.Participate in developing and reviewing software processes and policies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement.Mentor and coach team membersQualifications:
We are looking for strong mentors with a proven record of making your team better with at least 7 years of experience in the following areas:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related.5 years in DevOps, ready for a Lead role or in a Lead roleStrong knowledge of DevOps methodologies, tools, and technologies as well as CI/CD (Jenkins an asset)Experience with promoting a DevOps culture and introducing it to new teams.Ability to communicate effectively with multiple disciplines and align priorities.At least 3 years of experience in LinuxExperience with containerization and cloud platform (ideally Nutanix)Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)Good knowledge of configuration management tools Linux and/or Windows system administration experienceProven analytical skills decision-making abilities based on quantitative and qualitative data.Preferred Additional Skills:
SecDevOps.Good understanding of networking and network security a plus.Good knowledge of AgileFamiliarity with Atlassian tools, Jenkins, and Artifactory a plus Knowledge of Static and Dynamic Code analysis.knowledge of secure software development.Fluent in English, French a plus.Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
