What you’ll do

As DevOps Test Lead you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through continuous testing and integration. You will work with developers, support engineers and the operations team to lead the implementation of automated testing solutions. This role aims to ensure the quality of delivery for the capability being tested, which is crucial to Vodafone UK fulfilling its legal obligations. 

 

You will lead the collaboration with development and operations teams to understand requirements and design and implement test strategies. You will lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts using a programmable framework based on AWS. You will lead end-to-end test activities in various environments, including different APIs, test tools and data storage/retrieval mechanisms. You will monitor and analyse test results, identifying and reporting defects and performance issues, tracking and managing defects to their resolution. You will foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the team, providing support and guidance to developers and testers, promoting best practices in test automation and DevOps. 

Who you are  

 

You will have experience in an Agile or DevOps environment, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery. You will have strong experience in automated testing. You will have knowledge of cloud platforms (specifically AWS) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools. You will have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. You will hold or be eligible for SC clearance.
