DevSecOps / Cloud / AWS Software Engineer - Top Secret - SCI Clearance Required
Overview System Engineer Level II - Full Stack Developer Responsibilities Support the development of analytical apps where there is core expertise in one area (i.e., React or Java) with the ability to support development areas in other parts of the apps. Create unit tests leveraging frameworks like Jest Support the creation of the user story backlog, grooming the acceptance criteria, and estimating/sizing the stories to be pulled for each sprint Participate in design & creation of scalable software Write clean, functional code on the front- and/or back-end Test & fix bugs or other coding issues Qualifications Associates Degree or higher in the Information Technology/Cyber Security or any related technical field Minimum of 5 years experience. Minimum of 2+ years as a frontend or backend developer React experience preferred Required Experience: Work within the development teams to ideate software solutions Previous experience creating modern web-based apps that support the visualization of data Write effective APIs Create unit tests for developed code while mitigating code smells, security hotspots, and aligning with best code practices Troubleshoot, debug & upgrade software Experience with React with preferred background in Typescript Experience with VSCode/Chrome development tools Top Secret with the ability to attain SCI/Poly requirement Possess or have the ability to obtain a Security+ certification Preferred Qualifications: Previous consulting experience and understanding customer/business needs Experience leveraging CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, Git/BitBucket, SonarQube Experience with Agile practices a plus Experience with source control management (e.g., Git) About Highlight For over ten years, Highlight has provided Development and Modernization, Secure IT, and Mission Solution services to our federal government customers.
