DevSecOps Engineer
Join a small team focused on bringing mission critical software applications to the Warfighter in an Agile manner. Support existing systems, integrate and develop solutions, perform troubleshooting, and analyze software for computer-based systems. Design, develop, integrate, maintain, and support technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware, database, and/or system software components for the Nite Owl Program. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions) • Lead technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and evaluate alternatives • Participate in configuration, debugging, and support for infrastructure and ensure all quality and change control standards are met • Analyze and resolve program support deficiencies • Conduct root cause investigations and provide recommendations for preventative measures • Design, develop, maintain, and support technical infrastructure that includes network, hardware, database, and/or system software components • Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques performing root cause analysis and resolution of complex and advanced software applications and problems • Coordinate engineering and technical support staff efforts for assigned projects • Plan, conduct, and provide technical direction for assigned projects • Conduct investigations and tests of considerable complexity • Review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects • Review the completion and implementation of technical products and solutions • May evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services • May provide technical consultation to other organizations • May provide work leadership to lower-level employees At COLSA, people are our most valuable resource and centered at our core value. Required SkillsRequired Experience • Bachelors’ degree or higher in computer science or software-development field • Minimum of 8 years of related experience • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI; U.S. Citizenship required • Demonstrated DevOps experience • Knowledge of desktop applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs • Working knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages Preferred Qualifications • Active TS/SCI • Experience in the following technologies: Docker, GitLab source control and pipelines, Linux, Python, Typescript and JavaScript, HTML and CSS, React, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, C/C++, Software Defined Radios, and/or RF Signal Processing Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
