Job Description
Our Client's GSCCE stands for Global SATCOM Configuration Control Element. It is a ground system designed to manage and control the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites, which provide high-capacity communications for military operations. The GSCCE system is responsible for tasks such as detecting, identifying, geo-locating, and mitigating unwanted radio frequency interference on the WGS satellites. The GSCCE program has evolved to incorporate virtual machine software solutions, enhancing its resilience and cost-effectiveness. This evolution supports the U.S. Air Force's Space Enterprise Vision (SEV) and the Enterprise Ground Services (EGS) initiatives.
ResponsibilitiesCreate and design pipelines, integrating both developed applications and the pipelines into tools within factory infrastructure.Assess and solve problems related to configuration management by writing code to build small applications.Develop tools and automation processes.Assist with additional development tasks and challenges.Essential SkillsExperience with agile methodologies.Proficiency in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment).Knowledge of Git, Maven, Java, Spring Boot, Artifactory, Kubernetes, SonarQube, GitLab, Puppet, and Chef.Experience in building CI/CD pipelines from Groovy or the file up.Understanding of the various stages involved in CI/CD pipelines and their categorization, organization, and interfaces with tools like SonarQube, GitLab, Artifactory, or Vault.Experience with automated configuration state tools like Puppet, Chef, or preferably Ansible.Familiarity with quality gates and maturity models in build and promotion processes.Experience with automated document creation leveraging data from other tools utilized in the build and promotion process.Java development experience, with Spring being highly preferred.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with tying playbooks into pipelines to perform actions and report success or failure.Experience with pulling together metadata from various tools, storing them in a custom database, templatizing various contractual documents, and generating program documents as required.Work Environment
This position is onsite at a facility on Wooten Rd and will later move to a new location in Colorado Springs in the next several months.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $90.00/hr.
