Job Title: Software Development EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing enterprise software solutions while ensuring compliance with user requirements and specifications. This role requires expertise in software development, project management, and technical leadership. Responsibilities + Formulate technical objectives for user requirements and specifications and plan for enterprise software development. + Develop and implement software solutions including language, coding, platform, resource requirements, testing, and documentation. + Coordinate the deployment of enterprise applications ensuring cross-platform compliance. + Maintain enterprise solutions including debugging, maintenance, and updating to ensure viability in an evolving environment. + Plan for future applications based on new developments in computer technology. + Provide direction and guidance to less experienced developers or teams of developers. + Represent the organization as a prime technical contact for projects and programs with the software developer group, customers, and management. + Publish and present technical papers to the wider community. + Assist in the development of additional sources of revenue. + Maintain the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. + Observe all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree, master's degree, or PhD in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. + Nine or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, seven or more years with a master's degree, or four or more years with a PhD. + Extensive expertise in software development concepts, principles, and theory. + Experience using/configuring/maintaining AWS Gov Cloud, source code control repositories (SVN, GIT, etc.), continuous integration environments (Gitlab, etc.), Linux and associated technologies (RedHat based), provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, etc.), package managers and associated tools (RPMs, NPM, Pypi, pip, Artifactory, etc.), hypervisors (VMWare, VirtualBox, QEMU, etc.), containers (Docker, Podman, etc.), and related tools (Vagrant, Packer, etc.), webservers and associated tools (Apache, NGINX, etc.), virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), desktop as a service (DAAS), and related virtualization technologies, software process automation with popular scripting languages (Python, Bash, Powershell), developing code in at least one high-level programming language (C#, C, and/or Java). + Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately. + Customer-focused with innovative design capabilities. + Leadership and guidance experience for less experienced professionals. Work Environment The work environment involves working with various advanced technologies and tools, including AWS Gov Cloud, continuous integration environments, Linux-based systems, and software automation tools. The role may require interfacing with different departments and professionals, presenting technical papers, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The candidate is expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $100.00/hr.
