The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization, Maritime and Intelligence Systems (M&IS) Division, is seeking a **_DevSecOps_** **_Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Senior level)_** to join our Mission Operations team in **_Herndon, VA._** Our team focuses on delivering complex solutions in some of the most challenging environments on Earth. We provide support for our Mission Operations Portfolio area, which designs, builds, tests, deploys, operates, and maintains a wide variety of mission-critical platforms and systems for commercial and government customers. This Software Engineer position applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify software solutions. You will evaluate customer/operational needs with other engineering disciplines and perform activities for design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software that conforms to industry standards. This position requires interaction with customers, end users, team members, representatives from supporting organizations and vendors. Make an Impact.** **Responsibilities includes:** + Develop and support full stack web applications. + Design and maintain the backend Java application, including client and middle-tier components using the Spring framework. + Build and maintain the frontend using Angular. + Create and manage API and data interfaces. + Utilize ActiveMQ/Artemis for message queuing. + Develop REST APIs for service calls. + Manage and optimize the Postgres SQL database. + Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. + Participate in planning and implementing new software, upgrades, and migrations. + Stay current with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve skills and knowledge. **This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
