Amergis Staffing is hiring for a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing for the current school year. The DHH teacher teaches deaf and hard-of-hearing pupils in a classroom setting. Instructs in academic subjects of regular curriculum or adapted curriculum to meet needs of student population.

What We Offer:

Monday-Friday schedule (between the hours of 7:30am-4pm) Pay: $45 – 47 / hr Weekly pay!

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university Valid CA Teaching License Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Certificate Knowledge in Sign Language and use of amplification devices for the deaf and hard-of-hearing Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students ASL proficiency exam or Certification required Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice Participation and completion of Amergis’ Competency program when applicable Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
