Minimum Education: Required: BSN – If Associates Degree or Diploma must be enrolled in BSN program and completed within 4 years. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing or related fieldMinimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation): Required: 4 years clinical experience Preferred: None
License, Registry or Certification: Required: New Jersey RN license AHA CPR certification Certified Diabetes Educator- After meeting 1000 hours of direct diabetes
education, must sit for the CDE exam by the NCBDE within 8 months of
completing the required time and hours Preferred: Membership in professional nursing organization. Certified Pump Trainer and CGMS certification
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Required: Knowledge of Diabetes self-management training, blood glucose meters. Insulin
pumps and CGM. Basic Computer Skills Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation Preferred: Computer: Excel, PowerPoint Experience with group presentation/public speaking
