Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound Technologist)

The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is responsible for performing quality ultrasound procedures as determined by Interpreting Radiologists and Manager while making the patient's visit as pleasant as possible.

 

Education, Work Experience and Licensure:

Completion of two-year Allied Health Education Program for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS). Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred. Current certification or eligibility for certification required with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. (ARDMS) Candidates eligible for ARDMS certification should be able to submit proof of eligibility to sit for registry.  Applicants must successfully obtain registry within twenty-four months of graduation from DMS Program or cross-training as specified by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and/or must be certified and currently registered by ARDMS, RT(S), RT (VS), or RVS. Current 'active' status required for CME compliance by ACR and ARDMS.
