Diagnostic Radiography Technologist, Afternoon Shift

Job Description:

Status: Part Time

Hours: 24 hr/week
Shift: Evening Shift 3pm-11:30pm
8-hour shifts 
Rotates call and weekends.

Under the direction of the radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision of technical detail.Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required, including specialized radiographic areas such as myelography, arthrography, mobile and/or surgical procedures.Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality as a technologist.

Requirements

High School Graduate.ARRT Registered or eligible (must obtain ARRT registry within the Kentucky state licensing mandates).Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy is required.Must be capable of all routine diagnostic procedures including but not limited to routine, OR, trauma, portable radiographs or fluoroscopy, limited specials such as myelograms, venograms, and mammography.Desire for furthering one's education in the various specialties directly related to the field of radiology.
