Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.

Establish daily work assignments for technologists Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department equipment conditions to appropriate personnel Perform annual equipment inspections and make correction as dictated by JCAHO Utilize all assigned functions of the Radiology Information Computer System (RICS) Provide portable x-ray service to all areas of the hospital Reviews images to ensure good quality and if necessary works with technologists to improve image quality Confirm patient identification prior to procedure by verbal confirmation on outpatients and identification band on in-patients Coordinate apron/glove inspection as required by JCAHO and Radiation Coordinate Radiologist clinical needs such as: IV infiltrates, Adverse Drug Reactions, codes and other incident reports as well as any other issues that need resolving Assist in developing CQI Indicators Assists Operations Manager in monitoring stock levels and order supplies as needed staying within the established expense budget

Education and Experience

Minimum Required Education: Successful completion of a Radiologic Technology program

Experience: 5+ years’ experience as a Radiology Technician with knowledge and training in Diagnostic Radiology

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Applicant must be ARRT registered and BLS certified.
