Primary Function/General Purpose of Position Provides direct patient care and assistance during dialysis treatments under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs routine cleaning, disinfecting, and troubleshooting dialysis equipment. Maintains and updates patients records in a timely manner. Assist the staff by performing clerical duties and acknowledge customers upon arrival with an enthusiastic friendly approach. Essential Job Functions + Setup and prepare dialysis machines and equipment for patient treatment sessions. + Aware of AAMI, DHEC, CDC, and DOQI guidelines for dialysis equipment and infection control. + Keep accurate records of patients' vital signs, medications administered, and other relevant information. + Monitor water treatment system, disinfecting, culturing both main and portable reverse osmosis machines. + Ordering supplies: familiar with standard and non-standard orders. + Under the direction of a RN performs venipuncture of an AVG/AVF and transcribing treatment data to run sheet.
