What will you do? 

A day in the life of a Director, Merchandising at Dickies looks a little like this. 

The Director of Regional Merchandising is responsible for driving marketplace strategies for the Wholesale and DTC channels in the Americas. As a member of the America’s leadership team, they play an instrumental role in the execution of the brand strategy within the region. This role covers the AMER region and collaborates closely with various teams, including Commercial Sales, Key Account Merchandising Leadership, Regional Marketing, Finance, and Planning. The primary focus of this position is to drive regional assortment efficiencies, ensuring optimal sell-through percentages, margins, and inventory levels. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining high forecasting accuracy and executing financial forecasts effectively. This position reports to the VP of Commercial.  

Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. 

Development of the regional assortment architecture with a key focus on creating product assortments relevant to a diverse customer base within both wholesale and DTC business channels.  

Support the creation of an integrated marketplace assortment strategies to drive segmentation and cross channel tiering  

Deliver regional merchandising inputs throughout global GTM process, providing inputs relevant for work and lifestyle distribution channels. 

Metabolize a complex global product line to create regionally relevant assortments  

Develop and execute seasonal merchandising strategies that support the global marketing roadmap   

Provide leadership and strategic oversight to a team of marketplace merchants and DTC buyers  

Partner with Regional planning to support preseason and in season forecasting efforts   

Act as an extension of the commercial sales team by developing strong relationships with sales executives and account merchandising leadership   

Lead critical account intersects such as roundtables, seasonal key account pre-lines   

Consistently monitor trends and consumer behavior through available reporting outlets and market visits  

25% travel required 

 

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 10 years of experience and professional achievements.

Hiring Range:

$155,520.00 USD - $194,400.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
