**Job Title: Die Cast Operator** **Job Description** The Die Cast Operator is responsible for operating die casting machines to produce high-quality parts from nonferrous metals such as zinc, aluminum, or magnesium. This role involves setting up machines, monitoring production, and ensuring that all parts meet quality standards. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate die casting machines. + Lift and position die sections using hoists or chain falls. + Bolt die sections in place and adjust the machine settings. + Preheat die sections and regulate cooling systems. + Operate machines to cast parts, ensuring proper flow and temperature of molten metal. + Remove castings from machines and inspect for defects. + Perform quality checks using gauges and other measuring tools. + Maintain production records and documentation. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in operating die casting machines and related equipment. + Skilled in using various hand tools for assembly and maintenance. + Ability to perform quality inspections using tools like calipers and micrometers. + Understanding and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. + Knowledge of basic math, including geometry and trigonometry, for precise measurements. + Identifying and resolving issues with machinery and production processes. + Attention to detail. + Hand dexterity. + Problem solving skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in the aerospace industry. **Why Work Here?** We offer a clean and well-maintained tooling area, providing a conducive environment for high-quality production.
