Compensation - $26.00 an hour. GENERAL PURPOSE: Responsible for setting up and operating straight cutting equipment (Perfecta, Polar etc.). ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: \u2022 Sets up and operates straight cutting equipment. \u2022 Observes and monitors machine operations to detect malfunctions and to determine whether adjustments are needed. \u2022 Performs troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks as needed including minor repairs. \u2022 Levels the cutting by using different thickness spotting tapes and packing. \u2022 Reviews and follows the job ticket. \u2022 Performs all assigned work effectively and on schedule. \u2022 Accurately follows instructions. \u2022 Performs quality check and in process inspections, looking for quality issues and ensuring product conforms to quality standards. \u2022 Maintains make-ready and cutting standards. \u2022 Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position and department. Follows established policies, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines. \u2022 Completes non-compliance documentation as necessary. \u2022 Keeps work area neat and clean. \u2022 Trains co-workers to set up, operate and use equipment as directed. \u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: \u2022 Experience operating Polar and Perfecta or similar straight cutting equipment required. \u2022 Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. \u2022 Must have basic computer skills: (data entry). \u2022 Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including additions, subtraction, multiplication simple fraction conversion to decimal and division. \u2022 Must have the ability to read a ruler; must pass ruler test. \u2022 Must pass basic reading test. \u2022 Must pass color vision test. \u2022 Must pass color hue test. \u2022 Demonstrates ability to use samples and materials, such as vinyl\u2019s, spinjets and approved samples, to verify job accuracy and quality 04/2020 \u2022 Must possess the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management and self-motivation. \u2022 Must be able to maintain good attendance. \u2022 Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. \u2022 Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.
