Job Description
The tool room technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the dies on 2nd shift. They will be responsible for the repairs in the press as well as in the tool room. This role requires an experienced individual with 7+ years of experience who can start immediately and effectively manage the workload on the 2nd shift.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair dies in the stamping presses (2x 2200 Schuler presses, 1x 750 ton, 2x 500 ton).Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with the fingers of the press.Perform lockout/tagout procedures and troubleshoot broken punches.Utilize press gauges for tool & die setup.Assist in training and teaching alongside the Die Setters to familiarize them with some of the processes.Essential SkillsProgressive Die troubleshooting experience.7+ years of Tool & Die maintenance experience.Tool Room machinist (manual machining, surface grinders, etc.).Hi the person/Forklift/Crane experience.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with tools and dies in the Progressive die.In-press repair experience for troubleshooting (progressive); ability to diagnose broken punches and fingers on the press.Additional Skills & QualificationsProblem-solving skills.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics.Ability to prioritize and address tool and die maintenance needs.Why Work Here?

The company is well established in Canada and recently acquired assets in the USA. The work environment involves an older building with stamping and robotic welding facilities. The company is in the process of upgrading the building and installing new fixtures. The 2nd shift has just been started, with plans for a 3rd shift by 2024. The company is focused on cleaning up and improving the facility.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $74880.00
Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market
Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
