Job Title: Die Setter
Job Description

We are looking to add two experienced die setters to our team. In this role, you will work closely with the Die Repair and Operators on the 2nd shift. This position requires strong attendance and reliability as the team is currently facing attendance issues. The shift runs from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays.

ResponsibilitiesSet up stamping diesUtilize progressive and transfer press knowledgeChange tools outProperly set up dies and equipmentSet the next die up and onto the pressClean press bolster and ram prior to setting a die, as well as cleaning both upper and lower die parallelsFollow setup instructions to bring the proper conveyors to the press and set them up as requiredUnbolt dies after production runs, remove scrap, and place them in the proper locationUnhook transfer system items and store them properly if applicableSet up a job in the press, including setting the die and necessary equipment, and obtaining first piece approvalsCompetently operate the overhead craneEssential Skills4+ years experience as a metal stamping die setterForklift and Crane CertificationExperience in setting up and adjusting dies, jigs, fixtures, and cutting tools of progressive diesAbility to load sheet metal coils and dies into pressesExperience with progressive dies ranging from 400 to 2200 tonnageKnowledge of starting up and operating presses on the floorStrong safety knowledge when setting dies and operating a forklift/craneAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to troubleshoot equipment issuesSchuler Press experienceAbility to process and identify defective items/partsQuality inspection/assurance skills (using micrometers, calipers, and gauges)Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our facility is recently expanded into the USA, taking on new projects and business. We have launched a 2nd shift and are working towards a 3rd shift. The building is older but has been undergoing renovations to improve the working environment, including new fixtures. The facility includes a stamping side and a robotic weld side.

This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $54080.00/yr.

Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market
Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
They just launched their 2nd shift; would eventually launch 3rd shift by Q4 / Q1 2025
