Job Responsibilities:

Location: Montezuma, Iowa

Summary:  The Die Setter will work in conjunction with each other to complete die set ups in an efficient and safe manner.

Job Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position.  These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive.  Other duties may be assigned and required.

Perform complete die sets per set up book i.e. set up presses by installing and testing dies, load press feeders and dereelers, adjust guides, fixtures, conveyors and other aspects of the pressObtain first off approval of new set ups, accurately measure test pieces and adjust press and dies to ensure parts produced meet required specificationsInspect/Accept/Reject material/parts per work instruction / process book / proceduresInspect and tag dies for cleaning and repairPerform die or press corrections when applicable or contact proper support personnelAssist in training operators on basic machine operations and quality inspectionsResponsible for quality of parts they produce and reporting any nonconforming parts to Quality and supervisor immediatelyRecommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity and work environmentMaintain a good working relationship with his/her fellow employees and keeps his/her supervisor advised of conditions within the work areaComplete schedule work and tasks within time allotted or if unable to, supervisor must be notifiedRecord data as appropriate to include classifying FunnelCloud downtimeFollow and support Magna Body & Chassis Iowa’s and Magna’s operating principlesSupport efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
