Assists the pathologist with autopsy procedures. Assures morgue and pathology supply storage areas are neat, clean, and orderly meeting all organizational and accreditation agency guidelines. Assists with unpacking, distributing, and storage of morgue and laboratory supplies received from various vendors. Helps maintain storage of anatomic pathology blocks, tissues, and slides in accordance with organizational and accreditation requirements. Responsible for transporting and storing paper documentation from all laboratory sections per retention requirements. Assists in Histology department with accessioning, requisitioning, and grossing processes when needed. Responsible for daily collection and transport of biohazardous waste and hazardous chemicals to central accumulation area for disposal
