Newmont Tanami is on Aboriginal freehold land 540km northwest of Alice Springs. It is a long-life, low-cost, world-class asset in a core Newmont region. The Tanami Expansion 2 project, aims to extend the mine life beyond 2040, investing in a hoisting shaft which will increase the production of the underground mine from 2.6 Mtpa to 3.2 Mtpa.  Both the successful exploration within the underground operation and implementation of the first Tanami Expansion has laid the foundation to further develop the operation to remain a major contributor to the Newmont portfolio. A fully equipped camp is located 40km from the site offering leisure facilities for those flying in from Perth, Brisbane, Alice Springs or Darwin.

Essential Duties Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance on a variety of modern mining equipment, including CAT UG trucks, loaders (R2900G & R2900XE), IT's, Sandvik Drills, Normet Agi's, charge vehicles, and ancillary equipment.Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on equipment.Conduct inspections and maintain accurate records and documentation.Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.Collaborate with the wider maintenance team to optimize equipment performance and availability.About You Cert III Australian trade qualifications as a Diesel Fitter or equivalent.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.Product knowledge of CAT heavy mobile mining equipment within underground hard rock mining equipment is considered an asset.Highly desired certifications include Working at Heights, Dogging, EWP, and Forklift competencies.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with a commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.Working Conditions
