EquipmentShare is Hiring a Diesel Fleet Technician (Mechanic) EquipmentShare is immediately hiring a Diesel Fleet Technician (Mechanic) for our Hobbs, NM market to be responsible for providing maintenance and repair on company owned trucks and trailers. Schedule: This position requires working hours Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Employees receive 16 hours of paid volunteer time per year + Opportunities for career advancement and professional development + Access to industry leading diagnostic tools Primary Responsibilities + Perform repairs on malfunctions or breakdowns on trucks and trailers. + Preventative Maintenance. + Inspect, repair, maintain, and test trucks and trailers at maintenance intervals. + Maintain trucks and trailers to new state or DOT standards. + Maintain and repair brakes, braking systems, and all related chassis components. + Complete annual inspections. + Travel to different areas. Skills & Qualifications Required Skills/Abilities: + Valid drivers license required + At least 2 years of diesel mechanic experience required + Welding experience required + Air Brake Certification required + DOT Inspector Certification preferred + Must have proper tools Education and Experience: + High School diploma, Trade school certificate preferred + Experience in field service, maintenance and repair preferred + Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Physical Requirements: + Must be able to move, stand, stoop and been freely + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times + This is a safety sensitive position and any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a 10 panel drug screen EquipmentShare is an EOE M/F/D/V
